From alpine skiing to the great thrill of freeride
On skis since the age of 3, Benoît grew up with the passion for the mountains passed down by his parents. After several years of competitive alpine skiing and a ski-study path, he felt the call of the great outdoors and naturally chose to move towards freeride. Today present on the Freeride World Qualifier circuit, he lives this sport as a true freedom of expression, a mix of thrills and respect for the mountain. A versatile athlete, he complements his seasons with paragliding, another way to extend the exploration of the great outdoors all year round.
Goals, results, and horizons to explore
For Benoît, freeride is as much a personal quest as a sporting challenge. His goal: to secure a qualification for the Freeride World Tour Challenger, an essential step to join the world elite. His ultimate dream is, of course, to one day participate in the Freeride World Tour. Already author of great performances (2nd place at the Nendaz FWQ*** 2022, 4th place at the Nendaz FWQ** 2022, 3rd at the French Championship 2022), he continues to progress season after season. His favorite playgrounds are the mountains of his Ubaye valley but also Andorra and Switzerland. And among his dreams elsewhere, one destination often comes up: Japan and its snowy mountains.
