LÉONARD PIERREL

Léonard Pierrel - Cairn Sport

Born in a Vosges resort, Léonard knew how to ski before he knew how to walk. At a very young age, he turned to freestyle skiing.

It was only later, when he moved to the Alps, that he swapped his double-tip skis for freeride and rando fats. What does he love? Being free in the mountains with his friends.

Léonard is undoubtedly our nature lover!

When I arrived in the Mecca of freeride (Chamonix), I naturally replaced my freestyle skis with freeride skis.

With my eyes on the mountains every day, dreaming of new lines, I had to arm myself with touring skis to be able to widen my scope of adventure.

My knowledge of climbing enabled me to quickly feel at ease in the most alpine parts.

Today, I'm driven by a combination of steep slopes and the search for powder.

As well as hoping for the perfect conditions to achieve mythical lines, to progress and to go faster and steeper, my main aspiration is to be able to continue to enjoy myself to the full every winter, while reducing my environmental impact as much as possible.

Iceland, Yukon (Canada), the Queyras and the Aravis, but above all the valleys around Mont Blanc, which open up infinite possibilities.

Today, with the idea of taking a sensible approach to skiing by using soft means of transport, for example, I'm going to continue exploring everything around me, before heading off to the other side of the world.

If all goes well, every outing is a success! (I don't think I'm a 'success', and I'm not looking for one, but every outing prepared and completed, no matter how difficult, deserves to be celebrated).

For me, CAIRN is the essential partner for all my adventures, the perfect equipment for pushing myself to the limit whatever the conditions.
