NICOLAS FLEURY
"Prefer a “whoops” than a “what if”
My name is Nicolas Fleury, I'm 27, I grew up in Besançon in Franche Comté and now live in Paris. What do I do for a living? I'm a professional freestyle trials mountain biker, a mix of obstacle clearance and aerial tricks, all with a bike between my legs.
My days are often split into 3 distinct parts: firstly, training (whether on the bike, in weight training, running, etc.), then working on events where I perform in shows and conferences, and finally working on my image, whether via social networks or conventional media (TV, radio, press, etc.).
DISCOVER HIS PROFILE ON INSTAGRAMI'm not sure I chose this sport, but with hindsight I'd say I love it for its complexity. Whether it's physical, technical or psychological, trials is ultra-complete and the slightest weakness in one of its 3 pillars sends you to the bottom of the competition rankings. Since I stopped competing to devote myself to street trials, another important pillar has been added to my work: creativity! It's for these 4 things that I love my sport.
My aim, through my profession and my passion, is to reach out to more and more people, whether through the events at which I perform in shows or conferences, or through my social networks. Why do I speak to these people? To convey the values and character traits I hold dear: hard work, humour, ecology and kindness.
